Bay To Breakers

By Glenn McElhose on May 21st, 2009 under Weekly Video

Here’s a quickly tossed together video mixed with some still images from last weekends Bay to Breakers event in San Francisco. Headphones help this one out – audio is pretty bad/over modulated in a few sections but if you can get past those few short portions, it gets a little better. This video is also a bit hard to watch – so be warned, I did not have the best camera moves/steadiness that day. Also note: this video does nothing to convey the enormous event that B2B is. This is merely a tiny capture of what the day entailed for me (didn’t exactly get a lot of running in).

Random – Episode Numero 2

By Glenn McElhose on May 14th, 2009 under Weekly Video

Here’s the second episode of what is still currently being called “Random” – a show hosted by Kevin Rose and Tim Ferriss (I’m just shooting, editing and randomly nodding in agreement). New show names are being tossed around but for now, this is it.
Topics in this Episode:
1) Stuff that they are finding interesting – from internet apps to electronic gadgets, they riffle through a few items on their current radar.
2) Tim and Kevin discuss Tim’s recent delve into the world of functional MRI’s – fMRI’s.

Enjoy!

Plastiki

Plastiki from Glenn McElhose on Vimeo.

A couple weeks ago I had the privilege to visit David Rothschild’s Plastiki project happening at Pier 31 in San Francisco along with treehugger.com founder Graham Hill. We ran in to take a quick look at how things were underway and here’s what we shot on the spot real quick like. There’s a part 2 I’ll post shortly, but here’s a quick, barely edited version of the tour.
I have broll to add later – so this is the rough cut. Enjoy – let me know what you think. I definitely would like to do an updated version later on to see where things are with the project – super inspiring as it is. More to come.
